Alachua County Children's Trust supports summer programs in Duval area

Duval Early Learning Academy may sound like an elementary school like others run by the Alachua County Public Schools, but it’s still a building that serves youth through after-school and summer programs.

This summer there will be five organizations setting up house at the Duval facility, 2106 NE Eighth Ave., offering a variety of summer programs to youth within the community.

There will be two summer learning programs offered at Duval as well. Akwaaba Freedom School will serve 40 students in grades K-8 from June 20 – July 29. SPARC352, a cultural arts program, will host paid apprenticeships to young adults ages 18-25 in the Duval center’s art and music room.
